Please donate to our cause even if you cannot be at our event October 7, 2017. This is a fundraiser for Mental Health Awareness and Suicide Prevention. Our resources are greatly limited for those i need. We must take up the challenge to improve funding and resources to heal the mind!!
Letter of Introduction for FretsFest 2017/Leslie’s Hope Frets Fest is an event by Frets and Necks in its 10th year of serving the community through music and arts on October 7, 2017. Leslie’s Hope is a program devoted to Mental Health Awareness and Suicide Prevention. Both entities are a presentation by and with members of Hartsville Community Org, Inc., a qualified 501(c)(3) non-Profit Org. So, this request letter is to inform our businesses and partners around Hartsville and the surrounding area of the purpose for this fundraiser/event. Leslie’s Hope and FretsFest 2017 have teamed up to bring Mental Health Awareness and Suicide Prevention along with great music, a craft fair, good food, and loads of entertainment and activities for our community. Without your donation and support this event could not take place. This greatly benefits all music lovers and fans from near and far. Leslie’s Hope seeks to raise funds and increase resources for its purpose. In 2016, the daughter of Ginny Edwards committed suicide, as a result due to many years of suffering from mental health issues and anxiety and depression. As her mother, Ginny tried to get help for her but current resources and funding for those in need in our area are very limited. At present, we are working with Rubicon Family Counseling Center and other area resources to find better help and answers for our family, friends and neighbors suffering in silence. The stigmatism and shame surrounding this disease must be lifted and a community of help and hope must be our result. Please find it in your heart to dig deep to support our efforts to save lives and bring comfort to the needy. So, we are indebted and deeply grateful to our wonderful, generous Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze Sponsors! You can also sponsor an artist and get personally recognized on stage and in all media.
